Duty Calls

I got summands to serve Jury Duty. I don't really mind showing up to do my duty for my community, but it will be futile. A few years ago I was called, and I responded. I made it into the room where the lawyers start picking the candidates who will sit in the 12 chairs. I sat awhile and eventually my number was called. I made it through the interview and was a proud member of the jury. Unfortunately we were a jury who couldn't come to a decision so we were a hung jury. Now I've been told that once you have been on a hung jury you will never sit in any of the 12 chairs again. Is that true? If it is, I think that they should just take your name off the list permanatly. I called in and I don't have to go tomorrow, but I have been instructed to call again tomorrow to see if I have to report Thurs. (Part 1)
